But for a long time, it felt like South Park could be so much better—so much more relevant and productive—if Parker and Stone would just be willing to be empathetic and listen to anyone but themselves. And in , during Season 22, they actually did just that. We could just do an entire season atoning. Maybe this will indeed be how South Park ends. But the show deserves a better ending than that.

And if Parker and Stone continue to figure out how to not turn into the same delusional parents they railed against in , they deserve to get that better ending.
