Can you return something to walmart without a receipt

Typically, items purchased in Walmart stores or via their website can be returned or exchanged within 90 days of purchase. For online items, the return window begins on the date of delivery. However, the return window depends on the type of item. For most items, returns can be made whether or not you have a receipt. But if you do not have a receipt, your return is subject to a refund verification process.

There were no signs or information before I purchased the clothing. Couldn't try the clothing on. This all seems like one big scam. Your stores are open and numerous folks are in and out everyday, but you're somehow not taking returns? Absolutely ridiculous! I even here the ban was lifted. What's the problem? You are taking germ infested money at the damn cash register. Disgusted by all of this.

I just want my money back. Clothes don't fit! Walmart is not telling the truth about the New Jersey ban on returning clothing. The ban is lifted and every other retail store is taking clothing back. They are just playing games with their customers.

They were suppose to start clothing returns on June 29, and are refusing. I'm done with shopping In Walmart and am also removing all my prescriptions from the store.

I'm in California and they have pause the return since April 20, so till now it over 2 months already. Still hasn't lift yet. But not California. I tried to fixed many cartridge but non I able to. It goes through ink and no remanufactured ink fits it. I've had it for about 3 months and have already replaced the black ink cartridge.

I called the number this morning to see if they lifted the restriction in nj because I have been trying for month now to make return. The customer service rep says oh wow as of today it was lifted. I said can you call the store and verify with them I don't want to go all way there then have problem.

She put me on hold and sure enough they didn't get the memo I called this afternoon my local Walmart where I bought the clothes and asked are you taking returns yet she says no and we don't know when because the governor keeps adding restrictions. What dies he have to do with it.?

My thing is what is the difference if it's today or next week if my clothes are infected which there not how are they gonna be able able to tell.. I need my money back and this is ludacrus. I ordered clothes from Macy's online and they didn't fit but I was able to return immediately.

What's the difference??? It's so obvious that it is in place to keep their sales up, their labor down, and rip off their loyal customers of their hard earned money!!! I can't be the only one that wonders I went to return clothing because I couldn't try it on on the store. Told me i could return it after July Is this true? I don't want to lose my money. I think it has been long enough for no returns or refunds maybe you guys sitting in the office making the calls should think twice maybe you people think most people will just give up and waste the money they don't have.

I would be more than HAPPY to buy his boots elsewhere but he had worn these for years and doesn't and can't wear all boots and we found these. I have a pair of pants that I have had for 3 months I can't return!!! The more expensive stores have been refunding and exchanging for some time!!! Oh yeah I bought 4 tires with lifetime rotation and balance and that's a joke every time I try to get it done same story 2 to 3 hour wait.

So now I pay to have that done!!!! The next day I tried to return it due to wrong size but was tilt YOU do not accept the return due to Covid. All other retailers in Massachusetts are taking returns; why are you discriminating against our state while you allow returns in Texas and other states that have rising Covid cases?

To top it all off, you require customers to start the return online and bring the electronic return to the store where they do not accept the clothes. I want my money back and your policy updated before I go to the media or the proper government agency to report your scam. I try stuff on right in the aisle. If they don't want to see this open the fitting room.

Think of all the stuff people touch and put back down, only for the next person to do the same. Time to get over it. If you are that concerned about Covid, stay home with the doors bolted.

I too tried to return clothing that I purchased during May. They refused to accept because of Covid. BS, they knew there was Covid when they sold the items. They are just taking no interest loans from every customer they can. Dump this Trump supporting business and put it in bankrupcy. They sent me back home and gave me a number that didnt work, after that 2 other numbers didn't work, then I tried to return it online but since the vendor doesn't take stuff back you cannot click the link.

Pure ripoff and will never buy from them again. Didn't know that they shuffled vendors open box but they don't tell you no returns when you order No wonder they are losing to Amazon. Amazon aims to please and Walmart just about tells you to shove it. I purchased a clothing item on April 14th which when I got home didn't fit. I just went in to return it on June 21st and was told that they were not accepting any clothing returns on anything purchased before April 20th.

I've been patiently waiting to return this item and now, without any notifications, Walmart has decided to randomly pick a cutoff date? I'm still within their normal 90 day return policy so what gives!! Customer Service at the store just shrugged their shoulders and said this is the corporate policy.

I contacted Corporate and they said they would reach out to my store. Waiting to hear from them. I bought a blood glucose monitor and the other items that have to go with it in order for me to check my blood glucose. So the monitor does not work. So i went to Walmart to return the monitor and the lady at customer service told me that i could not exchange it or get my money back because of the covid 19 and i truly understand that.

So i called the manager to see how could i exchange or get my money back and she told me to go to their website. So i did and you have to go through so much red tape to go through to get your money back. So i have gotten aggravated and i am not going through all of that to get my refund back.

Its wrong of them to put the customer through all that stuff. So i didn't get my money back also. Plus i had to buy another blood glucose monitor and stuff that i have to have to go with that. I lost my money on that. I spend too much money with them to have to go through this scenario. I guess i have to bite the bullet on this one. I am disappointed with Walmart. I'm just wondering when I can return a battery operated can opener??

Bought it two months ago not because I wanted it but because it was the only one out of all can openers available I bought batteries went home spending 25 bucks on all it then the darn thing didn't work..

I couldn't believe it.. Just saying tired of looking at it I have 2 sealed non perishable items that I need to return because of the sugar content. I was refused a return at the store and I was told I could return online but that method of return is invisible to me I am stuck with food that im not allowed to eat. With no job I cant buy anymore until I return this. I have the receipt. What's the difference? Clothes were handled from manufacturer to the shelf. Let em sit in the back room at Walmart and give me "MY" money back.

No refunds on clothes? Nobody told me before I purchased. Thinking about a class action be lawsuit. Any body else with me? It's my money and I want it now I love Walmart! Just walking in when the fresh air hits my face I'm exhilarated and my pocketbook begins to smoke.

You know why? Because I'm about to spend Mom money, mom moment! I buy a lot of things, small or big, whatever I think the kids and husband need. And I buy myself a lot of stuff too. Small and big things. A lot of times I feel great, until I get to the register. When the bill racks up, I pull out my credit card and they always run it. Sometimes I don't have enough money, but that's ok, I've got a ton of stuff at home I'm going to return because I didn't need to buy it in the first place.

The customer service rep, she hates me. I see it in her eyes. I once came in with newly dyed red hair and she asked if I copied her. The next day she was brunette. But we talk, about the weather, her boys, my boys. Mom moments! I love leaving Walmart, except when it rains and I wore flip flops.

But don't worry, I bought socks and shoes, so I'm sitting down and changing my shoes. They tell me it's closed, again. But they're always helpful with returns, most of the time. I purchased a car radio and found another one I liked better so I took the one back to get a refund since the box hasn't even been opened and had the receipt and was told that they refused the return but the computer wouldn't explain why it couldn't be returned.

Walmart's no return on clothing is despicable. There was nothing posted anywhere in the clothing dept. I tried to return a couple pieces of clothing the next day, with receipt, with tags still attached and was directed to a sign posted in the checkout lane in a 4 pt font that was not legible.

The cashier said nothing to me at point of purchase. All other retail clothing stores are accepting returns. This is a money grab by a large corp. My child bought herself a phone case but she bought the wrong size some went back 5 mins later told us no exchange and no refund hows about you guys piss off like really I understand Covid but telling a 10 year old that spent her own money to get what shes been saving up for for a while to do no all because of this covid crap you guys are a company that makes alot of money as if you cant afford to exchange a 10 dollar phone case I'm pissed right off.

Wal-Mart said they would exchange clothes when all stores opened now they say no wth. This policy refusing clothing returns may be well intentioned, but it has put customers in a very difficult position.

So why is the wealthiest retailer on earth taking financial advantage of their customers of relatively modest to poor means? Why not offer a method of returning by mail where they can sanitize their product properly? Oh, and all my in store purchases disappeared from my app, so cannot start a return if I wanted to. I love Walmart. By far a homely place where anyone can buy just about anything they'll ever need.

And if it just happens to be that there is an error on the buyer's side or not; you may return it to get all your moneys back in your pocket: personally any return I make I've always went right back down their huge awesome aisles of wonder rather than just walk right out afterwards. Sometimes, I get their a little late and they will let me take 5mins before telling me stores closed.

I always pay for my stuff and have been happy to do so every single time. I even help put loose carts in the cart rack and pick up trash in the parking lot. A couple of times I've forgotten to pay for something super minor. Once home and realized; I felt sad. Walmart is incredible and honestly I wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you Walmart and please; never stop doing what you do best. Making towns glow.

I, too, was never informed that I couldn't return clothes I was buying, nor were there ANY signs stating that. I'm about ready to bring it all back and demand my money back. I purchased them 2 months ago!! Get with it Walmart. Well I've been waiting for at least 2 months to return a dress I bought only to be told they are not accepting clothing returns.

Then associate points to a notice on back wall that states this and says there should be notices in all departments and to be patient , also the cashier should have mentioned this as I checked out.

Well, I keep checking and nothing has changed. Now the size I need is gone so can only hope to eventually get my money back. By the way, checked all over women's department and I did not see one sign to this effect.

So what's up Wausau Walmart? Tried to take it back. The indian woman at returns desk-no no no no no? Does NOT speak english???? She pointed at the return policy? So, why does she works at the desk?? And-I ask employees, can you tell me where i can find? I am so sick of shopping at walmart!!! OMG,after reading the rest of the recent comments, I am compelled to put my two cents in.

Obviously, you people are selfish and could care less about the spread of this virus I certainly wouldn't want to know that the piece of clothing I bought, may have been at someone's house, that may have had or carried COVID Most stores are accepting returns for clothing but your store.

Were not allowed to use fitting rooms so we buy and have to take home to find it does not fit yet unable to return. You say it is due to covid 19 which I understand even though you will not get the virus from clothing. What is frustrating is your stores in CA now have banners saying face madks required by mandated state law yet you do not inforce this.

I have been in 2 times now watching as people walk on in and your door counters sit there and say nothing letting them walk in. What is the purposes of refusing returns yet NOT enforcing masks. What is the difference? You are at far more risk of getting the virus by unmasked shoppers then a return of clothing.

All I know is I better get a FULL return even if 90 days goes by from purchase date and I deffinately will not buy any clothing at all going forward. I would not be as upset over it if I 1 didnt have to worry about every penny I can not afford to waste and 2 if you actually enforced other measures. I guess you dont mind letting in unmasked people as its revenue so will look the other way but dont want to return stuff as you already got the money. Its very hypocritical. Instead of whining and complaining and calling Walmart ugly "names", I just want to commend Walmart for doing the right thing!!!

To the poster thinking you are "entitled" to an"discount" for standing in line, to buy your groceries, why on earth do you think you should get a "discount", part of the "me" generation? And the poster that's saying that you should get an "extension" because of "COVID", seems you were able to get your items with no problem, so why should you get some extra time to return? There are policies for reasons people, stop whining about this store or it's simple Thank you for the excellent customer service Walmart!

Im soooo tired if not being able to return the clothing I purchased over 2 months ago. I sm on a budget and need any extra money i can get. This is way too long to have to wait to return something. Target heads bren accepting returns what's Walmart's problem? They could accept them let them sit for a couple of days. Bought my wife a pair of pajamas wrong size they would not allow her to exchange for a different size even though it was still on the hanger with tags absolutely ridiculous taking things way to far!

Won't shop Wal-Mart anymore. You would think that in a Pandemic, Walmart would have a grace period for returning items. But no, Walmart continues to be a money hungry, don't give a crap about you, establishment. Oh, and then i get to either wait in hour in line, or check my own groceries. No discount for having to do it myself, and don't even think about telling me it's a courtesy to check my groceries.

That is bs too. Walmart just doesn't want to employ people to do it. Greedy Trumpers. You should be ashamed of yourselves Walton Family. What's next, stocking shelves, or will people have to unload the damn trucks too? I'm another customer who's very disappointed with Walmart's action of not receiving back the clothes I purchased from their store.

They did not allow me to try them on because fitting rooms were closed. And there was message written near the area or at the register nor did the person at the registry advised customers that due to Covid you were not able to return any clothing you purchased. I think this would have been a much better customer service. Than trying to cheat people out of their money. Walmart needs to start taking returns in all states. Customers are very frustrated about your policy.

I went to return clothing and the associate told me per the policy it's not allowed as clearly stated on her sign which was face down on the table.

I bought some scrubs not knowing which size so I bought different types and sizes. In total I have 7 pair and come to find out when I tried to return the ones that didn't fit they won't take clothing back. Shame on you Walmart. If I would have know this I never would have bought them. I agree with many of the posts here that Walmart is taking advantage of customers. I live in a small town with limited choices.

My Walmart shopping days will now be very limited if at all if I can help it. There needs to be clear communication from all Walmart staff on these rules and there better be an extension in the return policy. Very poor customer service on Walmart's part. Wouldn't allow me to try on clothing and then I can't return the items I need to.

I went to my local store twice and both times was refused a return. They couldn't tell me when they are planning to reintroduce clothing returns. As soon as they start accepting returns I'll never spend another dollar at Walmart. Walmart, get on the ball with the refunding of clothing. You have milked this virus to the enth degree.

You may wish you had rethought this out and at least would have had the courtesy to your customers to post a notice in the clothing departments that the refunds would not be given.

You are losing thousands of customers; I am now shopping at Target and find their clothing and service above and beyond yours.

Try buying an item with a manufacturer coupon and then return the item Walmart tries to keep the money that it's supposed to be giving to you and steals a little extra tax money on top of it. Starts accusing people of fraud when in fact if you're stealing customers money turn the return and shortchanging them hello Walmart you're doing a fraud wake up extreme couponing is back. Walmart isn't winning any fans it will not return anything anymore you have to keep it at home.

They say to start a return onlinestart the but there's no place to return things online unless you bought them online I hate walmart. Walmart Is Now Accepting Returns!!! Finally, As Or June 15, Good Luck. Very pissed off!! They won't return my. Clothes I bought them an there to big! Fitting rooms are closed!! Other store are now taking return!! Or I didn't see a sign!!! I purchased shoes and two pair of houseshoes.

They were not satisfactory so I had only one choice, return them, but was denied the right to do so as said due to covid Walmart, what is the difference, if I a person can go into the store try on shoes and clothes and not buy them, the opportunity to return them should be just as liberal. It is unfair to hijack someone's money. Walmart you have a ton of faithful customers don't run them away.

I want my money now; period. Return items are way over due.. The governor been gave the go ahead to start excepting returns, Walmart needs to train their associates what guidelines mean. Every other store had started excepting apparel returns in May when she made her announcement.. Not sure whose running Walmart, but they need to do their homework.

I'm Very, Very, Pissed-Off!!! May 16, bought 4- or. I Need my money!!! Start Shopping Another Store, Toooo!!! Sit back and relax while we do the work. Want your issue solved now?
